Privacy policy
Our simple approach to privacy
We believe privacy should be simple. So here it is, in plain English:
We don't store your personal data. We don't have an user database. We don't track who visits. When you read our content, you're anonymous.
We don't use cookies on our site. No cookies get placed on your device. Not for analytics, not for tracking, not for anything else.
We don't track you. No analytics scripts. No tracking pixels. We're not watching what you do on our site or anywhere else.
That's the short version. Here's a little more detail on a few specific spots.
Contact form
Our site has a contact form so you can reach out to us. When you use it, we get an email with what you share, usually your name, email address, and the message itself.
We don't store this information. The email goes to our team, we read it, and we respond if it makes sense. We don't add your info to any database, mailing list, or CRM. We don't share it with anyone. And once we've replied to your inquiry, we don't keep it around.
We treat your messages the way we'd treat a letter that lands in our physical mailbox. We read it, we reply, and then we don't keep it unless there's a real reason to, like if we're in the middle of a conversation.
Affiliate links and cookies
We’re in some affiliate programs. That means we link to LLC formation services and other stuff. If you click one of those links and buy something, we might get a cut.
We don't place cookies. But the affiliate programs we're in might place cookies on your device to track the referral and attribute the sale. Those cookies come from the affiliate service, not us. We can't control them, and we never see any data they collect.
If you don't want cookies on your device, just use your browser's incognito or private mode. Or, you can block third-party cookies in the settings. It's really up to you.
Server logs
Like most sites, our server logs might pick up some basic stuff about your visit, like your IP address, what browser you're using, and which pages you asked for. We only use that info for technical reasons, to figure out server issues, stop abuse, and make sure the site keeps working.
We don't use server logs for analytics or tracking. We don't mix that data with anything else, and we don't keep it around for long.
Third-party links
Our site has links to other websites. We don’t control how they handle your privacy. So before you share any personal info there, we’d suggest checking out their privacy policies.
Children's privacy
Our site isn’t meant for kids under 13. We don’t knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child has given us info, just reach out and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change this policy, which we don't plan to, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We'll never change it to collect data without telling you.
Questions?
Got questions about this policy or how we handle your privacy on our site? Just contact us. We’re glad to help.
We don’t keep your data. We don’t track you. And we don’t use cookies. Privacy’s a right, not some extra perk. So you can read CompareLLCs without wondering who’s watching.
